Marry Ellen Mark, Ward 81, 1976
This image alone from the Ward 81 photos, I can see where Mary Ellen Mark was trying to gain from these photos she took. My interpretation from these images is that she was trying to capture a unique sense of emotion. The patients at the wards all have different stories and when you see the emotion on their face in these images you can almost see into the start of their stories. Now these patients emotion that is captured is just the surface but it almost makes the audience want to discover more about each person in the Ward photos.
