I chose Matthew’s work among other artists due to the details he included in the photos. In the project “Strange Worlds”, every single image looks like a real outdoor scene. The level of details and deliberately adjusted colors made his tabletop photos successful. For the image I chose, he used faux fur for the field, cotton for the clouds, and sifted tile grout for the mountains. The faux fur field perfectly mimics the scene of flowing waves of grain in the fields blowed by a burst of strong wind shined in the pink light of the golden hour. The light temperature of this image is also right at place.
