This photograph taken by Aaron Siskind at first glance just seems to be a photo of a wall. However, after further analysis, we can see this my not be the case due to the depth displayed by the objects in the bottom right corner. Perhaps it’s an old childhood painting that has withered through time? Siskind is able to successfully create a very emotional photograph while still remaining in monochrome. Through his deep contrast we can see the edgy rebel like emotion he is displaying in his photographs.

Good observation of depth. It may still be a photograph of a wall, perhaps a door, with something sticking out underneath the bottom opening on the right side. Remember to select your image as a key image so it will appear on the front page. Also select your name and the category name – in this case Siskind – so it is searchable.
