Leon Levinstein’s black and white photograph is of a man and a women standing outside in the city. The man and women are both looking away from the camera. They also both look very serious. The woman’s coat looks like it is engulfing her body. You are barely able to see her face, and at first glance, she looks like an animal. The shot is candid and shot from a low angle, making the people in the image look elongated. The angle of the shot makes the man look bulky and a little shorter. The woman looks tall and slim. I chose this image because I appreciate candid shots. I also was drawn to the woman being engulfed by her fur coat. I also chose this photo because it was taken in 1954 and I love the looks of older clothing styles in photography.

This is a good description of camera angle and proportions and I agree the coat does seem to be engulfing her body from this viewpoint.
