I found this image titled San Gimignano to be extremely compelling. After some research, I’ve learned San Gimignano is a town in Tuscany, Italy. I really love how the bars of this railing are beautifully curved and almost entirely blocking the view of the doorway. The stairs are a fantastic series of parallel lines and this becomes a visually interesting photo when we overlay the railings curves on top. I really enjoy how deserted and old the setting looks, which can be expected of Tuscany. I think that the angle of the photograph is also intentional and well placed as there are no horizontal or vertical lines, only angled lines and curves.

I agree, the angle of the photograph really makes this a dynamic shot with all of the intersecting diagonals. Good description!
