This photograph depicts a street lamp made of wrought-iron as described. We can observe that it located in the streets of a heavily populated city, with the help of the detailed facade we see pictured on the right side of the photograph. Most of my life in photography I spent juxtaposing two different elements, whether it was in motion and still, dark and light, focused or blurred; I really enjoyed the pleasing concept between comparing two opposing details in the beauty of one photograph. To relate to this, We see a street lamp that is in complete negative space, so we can’t see the details of it. It is on the farthest side on the black and white spectrum. To add the opposition, we see that everywhere else in the photo there is clear street and sky view of a city. We can see that juxtaposition can play a huge role in street photography; In this case, it adds a bit of drama to the shot and I thought it was very eye-catching that the light of sky came through parts of the negative space of the street lamp, creating a beautiful silhouette.
