The AIR series are stunning. Laforet’s intuition of revealing the city skylines from another perspective is amazing and his decision of taking pictures from thousands of feet above ground is also unprecedented. All of these brought him a great victory.
For me, I’m thinking about doing a mixture of street photography and landscape photography for my book. The reason behind this is that street photography needs people to enlighten the scenes whereas landscape photography does not. Regarding the COVID situation, I think it is great to combine these two types of photograph. Meanwhile, for the subject of my photography, I could possibly display the different COVID targeted policy and signs that the brick-and-mortars have created creatively.
