Techniques to avoid too much light with long shutter speeds:
- Use speeds that are not too long but still long enough to capture the images within the range of a second.
- Use a Neutral Density Filter. This is personally my favorite technique because I have one. It’s kind of like sunglasses for your camera so it decreases the amount of light that enters your shutter so you can capture images for longer periods of time.
- Use a low ISO to make your camera less responsive to light.
Side note: I love motion blur photography. That’s why I focused on that for my Portfolio project during high school. I want to progress on the subject. Instead of my previous idea, I am now highly considering focusing my book on motion blur photography in the streets of Bethlehem.
