The content of this image is that it is a World War II Cemetery. This photographer, Arther Rothstein framed this place through is a great execution of the composition. Rothstein’s use of contrast, line, and value really brings this photo to life. The way the graves contrast with the grass brings them out significantly. Further, the use of line that follows the graves all the way to the horizon of this picture gives viewers the connotation of endless and inevitable death when it comes to war.
