This powerful image captures the grave site of what seems to be thousands of WWII heroes who died in battle. The vast feeling is both powerful and shocking as it brings forth the reality of all the deaths during the war. The black and white gives it a that simple yet strong feeling as well. If you look closely, although the vast majority are crosses, there are a couple star of David’s scattered throughout the cemetery as well.

Good observations. The perspective and angle of view really make this shot effective.
