This montage by Ruth Throne-Thompson shows a person with no feet in the center of the image around him is a cream color and below him the image gradually gets darker and the bottom of the image is completely black. The mans shadow is also visible directly below him. I really like the idea of having a subject in the very center of the image and then using the background to create a blank yet still intriguing and interesting canvas that leads the viewers eyes to the subject at the center. Also I like the idea of cutting off certain features of a subject (could apply to anything not just a person). I think doing that adds a level of abstractness that really captures the viewers attention.
