Evening plunge by Maggie Taylor depicts a serene pond lit by the moonlight. The purple night sky gives the image a dream-like feeling and the only source of movement is the ripples in the water formed by something falling into the pond. This image is very calming and I’m especially drawn to the pastel colors of the sky. Taylor created this work by collating a variety of images digitally.

Taylor’s Evening plunge almost looks as if it could have been done with pastels. This post should have Taylor and Uelsmann examples juxtaposed along with a description of both artist’s techniques.
