This photo by Vincent Bousserez shows a miniature figure using a makeup palette mirror to get dressed. I really liked this photo not only for its creative use of a makeup palette to serve as a giant mirror for this miniature figure but also I think the photographic techniques used make the photo really complex. Specifically the short depth of field used which blurs pretty much everything besides the reflection of the figure really draws the viewers eyes right to the reflection. I thought it was a really cool idea to blur the miniatures figures back but not the reflection in the mirror. This adds some complexity I wasn’t expecting to see when looking at photographs of miniature figures.

Good summary and analysis of depth of field and miniature photography!
