The tutorial video I watched taught me how to change the color of an object, in an image. I learned that to do this, you need to select the item that you wish to change the color of and then create a mask over the object. Fill the object, in the masked layer, with the desired color, use the color blending mode, and then simply alter the Input Levels sliders to change the brightness until you reach your desired color.
