Andres Serrano is a very controversial photographer for his use of body excrements. In this photo, piss christ, we can see what looks like Jesus on the cross drowning in a vat of urine. Immediately, we can already see the vast amount of controversy involved with this post. To begin, using human excrements in itself is a bit grotesque. Additionally, displaying Christ in this manner would upset a vast amount of individuals, especially in the 80s.
