Street Photography

The location I selected was Southside Bethlehem during the afternoon. I wanted to capture a time where not many people were on the streets and if there were some they would be captured in a mask or by a protected area. I was mostly intrigued by the idea of barrenness.

  1. I really like the composition of your photographs. The shadows create an ominous feeling contrasted by the lighter parts of the images. You did a really nice job ensuring that everything was amply exposed, without damaging the structure of the shadows.

  2. I really enjoyed the “older empty buildings” shot. It gave a rugged and dilapidated feel to the town. It helps the viewer remind them of what Lehigh once was, and what it has now become.

  3. I really like the image of the man walking alone with his mask on. It portrays the true isolation people feel during this pandemic. I think all of these images highlight this aspect in some way. I also like how bright your images are. They are well contrasted with objects surrounding the light aspects of the image.

  4. The two I am most drawn to are the Southside with the gate and windows and the older empty buildings. The textures are rich and detailed in these.
