I took the photo of the olympic tower in Beijing, it is counting down the number of days of 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics. This space usually full of tourist from all over the country, but during the pandemic, we only see some people walk by. I think this is a special moment to capture.

For the Drum Tower photo, this building survived since 1654. I used slow shutter speed to show that people and car are moving, it symbolized time is moving fast and never stop, but that building is always there and witness change in history.

Third photo captured a little boy was attracted by the sculpture but did not notice my camera. I guess people in different age view thing differently.

  1. Wow! I really like your photos. I think the colors of these is very interesting as well as your depth of field. My favorite one is the one of the “kid enjoying art”. I really like the neutral color scheme of this and the way that the yellow pops on the boy.

  2. I love “Kid Enjoying Art”! It is very successful how he is in focus and the background isn’t. He looks so fascinated with the sculpture! It is so happy! Also, “Drum Tower” is a great motion blur shot!

  3. The scale of the Olympic tower relative to the people is really interesting. And I like the overall atmospheric haze in the image as well which unifies the photograph. You also have a kite store in this series of photographs that was very successful.
