Georgia O’Keeffe–Hands and Thimble, 1919
The photo is made by Alfred Stieglitz. This film photo has a different quality compare to digital photo. The filter from film photography apply a yellow on to the photo. The things from this photo grabs my attention is that this light and shadow is not very dramatic, it has a soft feeling. The composition of this photo is created by two hands on each corner which filled out this photo and bring the focus in to the middle of this photo. The hand holding the needle create narrative.

The hands seem to be posing more then they are actually sewing – the thimble doesn’t seem to have a purpose here.
