Artist Statement:
The selected photographs are shot with a Canon EOS T3i and depict a change of seasons on the campus of Lehigh University.
As this spring semester occurred, I was interested in capturing the Turn to Spring as a student on the Lehigh campus as well as documenting life as a college student during the Coronavirus pandemic. These photographs and the story they portray should be positive, and a representation of new beginnings and better times ahead.
The progression from snow to flowering plants and trees and blue skies conveyed your theme well. It would have been stronger to maintain the chronology rather than mix it. You have two different themes going and it might have been better to focus on one.
I really like your composition! You have really unique viewpoint.
I like the colors you have in a lot of your shots. They are earthy and spring tones, which add to the concept to your book. The flower shots and the pink trees add a lot of pop to your shots too.
