Lori Nix

Lori Nix captures a utopian looking world with the building covered in trees and scaffolding. The town looks like it was abandoned. The buildings are down to bare concrete and there are no windows. It almost looks like parking garages. The sun is rising through the buildings and there are birds in the sky. The contrast in this photograph is strong, between the trees, the buildings, and the sky. The sun hits the tops of the trees and brings light into a scene that could otherwise look dark and creepy. There is also a contrast between nature and man made things. The trees snake through the windows of the buildings overtaking them. I really enjoy the composition of this image and the lightness and euphoria that it brings.
