Murals of Bethlehem is a series of work, capturing the artwork that make up the “Urban Arts Trail” in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. This project shows the various art styles and mediums that decorate the town, from a mosaic bus stop to massive, full building, hand painted murals. I hav loved seeing many of these murals for the past four years but with this project, I was able to experience multiple of these murals for the first time.
Hi Lucy, I really like your view point. It’s really smart to use sky as your background to avoid capturing other things you don’t want. Nice job on this photo book!
I really enjoyed your use of the sky as a background on your pictures. The structures captured stand out with their vibrant colors and the blue or grey sky behind them really enhance their presence.
I really enjoyed your book. I think it is super interesting how you chose to only have some of the murals in color. It makes them seem even brighter and more alive. I think some of the later images in the book seem a little less saturated or vibrant. Overall, really good!
Your use of black and white in the background of the wide angle shots framed the color mural well and offset the detail facing page well.
